It’s been a long time. More than six months have gone by since I last updated this blog. I’ve been wondering how it should return, what to write to make the wait worthwhile. No clear answers have shown up so far. But just a few days from today, mymoviecollection.blog will turn two. Two years of (irregularly scheduled) reviews of films and games are quite something, in my opinion. So what better way to celebrate than with a comeback.
There’s a few things that I owe you. I still haven’t finished the Harry Potter series of reviews, nor I have written about the last of the three Life is Strange – Before the Storm episodes. The long absence also means I haven’t posted about this year’s biggest releases, such as Infinity War and Mission Impossible Fallout, or about my favourites (don’t worry, Three Billboards, I haven’t forgotten about you). One of my all time favourite games has also been released this year! There’s definitely a lot I can write about.
However, as always, life gets in the way. It’s been some busy few months, in which I have moved to Madrid, seeking a new life. New house, new job, new people. Everything new, which, as you may guess, takes a lot of time. I also have a new hobby: reading comic-books! Right now, I have zero expertise, so I won’t be writing about that, but hey, just wanted to let you know.
Here’s the plan for the following weeks! Before the blog’s anniversary arrives, I will post a couple of reviews, the first of them being about Avengers: Infinity War, coming this Tuesday. I know I’m late to the party, but I think that the review is pretty thorough, so stay tuned for that. A word in that text will be the 60.000th word written on this blog, which is a useless fun fact that I love. I still haven’t decided what the second review will be, but I hope to have it ready by Friday, October 5th. That weekend I’ll be celebrating my birthday, so I hope not to have to worry about the blog for a couple of days.
Next, October 10th marks mymoviecollection.blog’s two year anniversary. I’ve been wondering how to celebrate… And I think that a special review is the best idea. After all, that’s what the blog is about, so why come up with something different, right? Picking the movie or game to review has been quite easy, I must say. One of the reviews that more attention has received is that of Life is Strange. Therefore, it just make sense to review the sequel, which has been released recently. I’ll give you a sneak peak into the review: unlike Before the Storm, it’s not garbage.
Hopefully, then I’ll be able to have a more or less constant posting schedule, with one review every week, until the craze of Top 10s arrives in December.
Sounds about right! See you there.
